This story follows Tanjiro a young boy whose family was attacked by demons. His whole family was killed except his young sister Nezuko. Tanjiro sought the help of a former demon slayer Sakonji. Which helped him fulfill his destiny of learning his water breathing techniques. As this goes on he faces his first opponent two powerful demons which he slays with various challenges. This was his first challenge to become a demon slayer. Tanjiro survives the final selection and he becomes a demon slayer. He does receive his official uniform which he wears so truthful and honorable.
